Our Premium First Harvest Sencha is a Yame green tea produced by Hoshino Tea Company in Yame, Fukuoka, one of Japan’s most celebrated tea-growing regions.

From the fresh, sharp fragrance of the new-crop leaves to the bright yellow-green liquor and lively character of the first steep, then the thicker, more mellow and rounded flavors of the second, this is a tea that takes you through the range of flavors that make Yamecha—tea from the Yame region—so distinctive.

Harvested from the year’s first crop, this sencha offers a wonderful way to experience the freshness and vitality associated with shincha (新茶), or “new tea,” while also connecting with the centuries-old tea-growing heritage of Yame.
